Anna Leader is a London-based interior and lighting designer working on projects in the UK and Europe.
Leader started her career as a photographer within architecture and the film industry. Throughout this period
her work was also exhibited in both commercial galleries and public museums, published in books and magazines
and is now held in several important private collections.
Her extensive experience of storytelling through images and sensitivity to composition, coupled with an enjoyment
of working with others, informed Leaders’ career progression into building permanent spaces for people to inhabit.
Growing up between rural southern France and an iconic modernist building in central London
was formative for Leader’s aesthetic as a designer, which touches between tradition and modernism,
whilst her creative approach is led by the location and how it will be used.
Working collaboratively with other industry leaders - from architects and building contractors to artisans and bespoke fabricators -
is central to her work, which focuses on quality and substance.
Thanks to this way of working, she has completed projects for both private clients and larger public organisations such as
The British Council, The Royal Institute of British Architects and The Wellcome Collection, always led by the same approach of
thoughtful understanding.
